Filipino F&B Recruitment for Singapore Employers
Philippines-based recruitment and deployment coordination for employers and agency partners. Established in 1990.
Filipino F&B recruitment in Singapore should begin with the restaurant or food-service business, the actual occupation and the proposed work-pass route. ABD helps employers define the role, assess candidates and coordinate Philippine recruitment or selected-worker processing under an accepted arrangement.
Filipino F&B recruitment in Singapore: define the occupation
Potential requirements may include cooks, kitchen assistants and waiters, subject to the employer and occupation conditions that apply. Job titles need to match the work actually performed. A blended “all-rounder” description should be clarified before recruitment, especially when it combines kitchen, service, cleaning and delivery duties.
Food services and food processing are not interchangeable classifications. Describe whether the business is a restaurant, food outlet, licensed production establishment or another operation. Different activities can change the applicable licence, sector and permitted duties.
Check the employer and pass route first
The Philippines is included among NTS sources for a restricted set of manufacturing and services occupations. For the NTS food-services route, the relevant Services-sector work-pass account and qualifying SFA licence must be checked. Applicable salary and sub-quota conditions also need to be met.
An employer should verify its available quota and the current permitted occupation before offering a position. A restaurant’s staffing shortage does not remove these conditions. If a different pass route is proposed, assess its separate eligibility criteria rather than using the NTS route as a general permission.
Translate your operation into a useful screening brief
- Cooks: cuisine, station responsibilities, batch volumes, preparation methods and equipment used.
- Kitchen assistants: preparation duties, hygiene routines, stock handling and the precise limits of the role.
- Waiters: service format, guest communication, order-taking systems and shift expectations.
- All roles: relevant experience, training needs, working hours, rest days and reporting arrangements.
Agree a practical assessment with ABD: a structured interview, a role-specific demonstration or another appropriate evaluation. Assess food safety, task understanding and communication directly. Avoid relying on a nationality-based assumption about service quality or candidate retention.
Present the employment package clearly
State monthly basic pay, fixed allowances, expected hours, overtime arrangements, rest days and contract duration. Explain meals, accommodation and transport arrangements and identify any applicable deductions. Workers and employers should understand the same terms before accepting an offer.
For employers with multiple outlets, identify the legal employer and proposed worksite arrangements. Do not assume a worker can be reassigned between unrelated companies or to different occupations. Confirm the applicable work-pass conditions before promising flexible deployment.
Choose recruitment or selected-worker processing
If you need candidates, ABD starts with requirement assessment and an agreed screening brief, then coordinates employer interviews and selection. Employer documentation and the Philippine deployment process remain part of the overall engagement.
If you have already interviewed and selected workers, ask for Processing for selected workers. We review their current location, employment terms, work-pass status and the employer documents before confirming the service. There is no need to describe an existing shortlist as a new sourcing request.
First-time employers should also review Employer accreditation guide. MWO submissions and Singapore work-pass responsibilities must be assigned to the recognized parties.
Plan a realistic start date and quotation
An outlet opening date is a planning target, not a guaranteed deployment date. Work backward from employer-document readiness, candidate selection, work-pass approval and the required medical and departure steps. Tell ABD which items are already complete and which remain outstanding.
Request a quotation that separates sourcing and processing scope from official, medical and travel expenses where relevant. Do not compare proposals solely on the headline agency fee without checking the tasks and costs included.
Employer questions
Can we recruit every restaurant position from the Philippines?
No blanket eligibility is claimed. The actual occupation, employer category and proposed pass route must be assessed.
Can the same page cover hotel housekeeping?
Hotel housekeeping has separate employer-category conditions. Describe the hotel and role so it can be assessed separately from an F&B order.
What if we need only two selected cooks processed?
Send the employer details, roles, candidate location and document status for a processing assessment. The route is determined by the case, not headcount alone.
